Census Health Changelog ← Back to status

Product updates

What we shipped, what we improved, and what we fixed across the Census Health platform.

New Leads workspace and Instant VOB on the timeline

The Leads workspace was rebuilt around how admissions coordinators actually work — triaging, qualifying, and following up — instead of scrolling a flat list.

What's new in the inbox

  • Tabbed buckets for new, pending, qualified, and disqualified leads, with accurate counts at every page size.
  • Filter by source (web form, SMS, referral, BD portal, manual, API) directly from the table.
  • Color-coded source stripes and a time-elapsed pill make it obvious which leads need attention first.
  • Hover a row to silently warm the detail page so it opens instantly.

Lead detail page

  • Larger, calmer typography with the lead's name and stage front and center.
  • Dedicated action buttons for Qualify, Pending, Disqualify, and Text — color-coded by tone so the destructive action looks destructive.
  • Inline-editable contact fields that save automatically when you click away.
  • A right-hand call history rail showing every interaction with the caller, including duration and direction.

Instant VOB on the timeline

Every Instant VOB run now appears as an event on the patient's timeline, alongside calls, texts, and stage changes. You can see at a glance which payer was verified, whether the coverage came back active, and when it ran — without leaving the lead or opportunity.

New Lead form

The "New Lead" flow moved into a centered, focused dialog with a payer search across our 591-entry payer directory, an "Insurance" / "Self-pay" responsibility selector, and the option to start the talk track immediately on create.

Public status page now live

We launched status.census.health, our public availability dashboard. The page reports real-time health for the Census Health platform — sign-in, the CRM, and our third-party service integrations — and is the source of truth for any active incidents or scheduled maintenance.

The page is monitored continuously and refreshes automatically. You can also subscribe to the machine-readable feed at /api/status for monitoring or alerting integrations.

Why this matters

Operations teams need a single, trustworthy place to check whether something is wrong before assuming it's a local issue. We built the page to load in under a second, work without JavaScript, and stay readable on any device.

Refined softphone experience for admissions teams

Inbound and outbound calling now feels purpose-built for admissions coordinators. Several improvements landed together:

  • A floating in-call indicator that stays visible while you move between leads, opportunities, and the playbook.
  • An availability toggle in the header so you can stop calls from ringing while finishing a write-up.
  • Outbound dials are recorded automatically and stitched into the contact's call history, with separate visual treatment for inbound, outbound, missed, and live calls.
  • Hover any recent call to dial it back in one click.

We also fixed an edge case where answering a call could occasionally drop the agent into an offline state.
